Celebrating a friend's birthday, another friend showed up with a YUGE cake from Woodlea Bakery that easily fed 8 people and left several pieces to take home and enjoy later on. It was a yellow cake with whipped icing and fresh strawberries on top. Beautifully frosted and looked perfect. Yummers!

Woodlea bakery is a nice local bakery in Bel Air. They have a wide variety of goods at pretty reasonable prices. I especially like their strawberry shortcake. We got a birthday cake (shadow cake, half yellow and half chocolate) that was eight inches and cost less than 20 bucks, which is an absolute steal. However, it didn't look as presentable as I would have liked per se, and the frosting was a bit thick but it served its purpose. Be aware there's no seating area.
What a little gem of a bakery! I wanted to get a pie for my boyfriend's birthday as he's not a huge cake guy. I decided to stop here and get a banana cream pie and omg, it was perfect. Not overly sweet, perfect texture, and absolutely delicious. It was a huge hit, not overpriced, and you're supporting a local business. I'll definitely be coming back!

This bakery is very nice and friendly. It reminds me of a smaller version of bakeries in NJ/NY. They have a wide assortment of baked good at fair prices. I tried the mini black bottom cup cake and was impressed. I also tried an apple fritter and was also equally impressed. I can honestly say this bakery has very good baked goods and would be willing to come back to try other items.
